The Rock Greenling is one I’ve caught a few times, but usually in tidepools with poor lighting.

Species: Rock Greenling (Hexagrammos lagocephalus)
Location: Brookings, OR
Date: Summer 2012

This is really just a placeholder post. I’d originally counted the Klamath River Lamprey as a species here, after catching one attached to a trout.

In revisiting this and due to popular opinion within the #SpeciesQuest community, I’ve replaced it with a Rock Greenling, a fish I caught and didn’t photograph at this time, thinking it was a Kelp Greenling. I did get one later down the road, but I put it here to avoid having to renumber the list.

Lamest blog post ever? Definitely.
